Shaun Peterson is a director/preditor specializing in documentary, comedy, and tween content.

Shaun won a 2020 Emmy for Outstanding Single Camera Editing for Peanuts in Space, Secrets of Apollo 10, Produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer and Directed by Morgan Neville. Most recently he Co-Produced, Directed and Edited 5 Episodes of Amazon Music’s Seismic Moments: mini Documentaries on Prince, Grateful Dead, Gorillaz, Outkast, and Sam Cooke. Shaun directed 10 episodes of the Disney Digital Network's second season of The Remember Hour.  He directed the digital pilot Loosie & Lewsy for Nickelodeon's Creative Lab show, Snick.  He also teamed up with The Tom Lynch Company to direct the Discovery Family web series S.H.R.I.E.K. Shaun directed five episodes of Fox Fuel Channel’s comedy, Stupid Face, and has directed over 100 episodes of the Disney web series Rule the Mix, I Heart Vampires, My Date, and Electric Spoofaloo, together garnering over 120 million views and winning four Telly Awards, a Webby Award and a Streamy Nomination.   

Shaun's critically acclaimed dark-comedy feature film, Living In Missouri, won ten film festival awards around the US as well as a distribution deal.  His first music video was for the band Train's Grammy nominated hit Calling All Angels.  The video was #1 on VH1's Video Countdown.   

As an editor, Shaun cut the Grammy nominated PBS American Masters documentary Muddy Waters: Can’t Be Satisfied and the Emmy nominated Sam Phillips: The Man Who Invented Rock’n’Roll and received an Emmy Nomination for NBC's Spartan Race.

Shaun is also an accomplished Visual Effects Artist and VFX Supervisor having won a Webby for Best Use of VFX/Motion Graphics.  He has a BA in Theater Arts & Film Production from UC Santa Cruz and currently lives in Topanga, CA.
